Pinarello

In 1953, close to his home in Treviso, professional racing cyclist Giovanni Pinarello opened a small bike workshop in order to build his own bicycles.

He slowly builds his reputation and in 1961 sponsors his first rider.

In the following years many pro teams rode Pinarellos and 1975 saw Pinarello’s first Grand Tour win, the Giro D’Italia with Fausto Bertoglio

Giovanni retired in the late 1980s and his son Fausto takes the helm and oversees the growth in the company that today sees

Pinarello as the dominant brand in professional road racing worldwide, and has recently been bought up by LVHM the luxury goods conglomorate.
