Pat Hanlon

Patricia (Prissie) Jane Howells was born in 1915 in Cardiganshire, moving shortly after to Somerset and at age 16 to London. She had a short lived marriage to John Hanlon and during WW11 she trained and ultimately became the chief wheel builder at Macleans in Islington.

In 1957 Pat opened her own shop in High Street, Tottenham where she specialised in wheel building and employed Tom Board and later Fred Dean and Vic Edwards to build her eponymous decaled frames.

In the mid 1970s Pat moved to a shop in Palmers Green which eventually closed in 1983 when Pat retired and moved to Majorca. She passed away in 1997.
