Masi USA

In 1972 Faliero Masi moved to California to set up the American branch of his renowned brand, his son Alberto stayed behind to continue the business under the Vigorelli velodrome in Milan.

This move involved Faliero selling the rights to his name to the American company, who made Masi bikes under his tutelage. He returned to Milan in 1974 after a dispute with the American investors.

The company continued under Faliero’s assistant Mario Confente successfully manufacturing bikes in the California factory and also using Italian frame makers Mondinico and Billato to supply bare frames to be painted in California.

In 1987 Alberto Masi struck a deal with Masi USA that allowed him to export to America again, Masi USA continues to this day.
