Grandis
In 1930, Silvino Grandis built his first bicycle but it wasn’t until 1965 that the first Grandis branded frame appeared. In the years preceding 1965 he gained a wealth of experience. In 1957 Silvino was the chief mechanic of the “Venice A” team, and later was employed as the official mechanic of Gianni Motta and the Sanson team.
In 1965 he opened his first shop in his home city of Verona.
By 1986, the original shop space on Via Col. Fincato in Verona was no longer sufficient to handle the high volume of sales so he moved a new location was opened nearby in Viale Venezia 79.
In 2004 they moved once again but this time to a large building they called the “Grandis Centre” at Via Strada della Giara, Verona.
Today Grandis is a very successful cycle business still operating out of the ‘Grandis Centre’ in Verona and run by Silvino’s sons Mario and Ezio
