Ernie Clements

Ernie Clements was a very successful amateur racer in the 1940s (winning a silver medals at the 1948 Olympics in London). In early 1950s he retired and opened a cycle shop in Old Park. Shropshire and began making frames. Soon after he closed the shop and became manager of Falcon Cycles between and oversaw their successful racing teams until the mid 1970s. 


In 1990 at the age of 67 he opened Clements Cycle, which is still open today in Malvern and run by Edward Clements. Ernie Clements died in 2006
