Bates

Bates Cycles was set up in London in 1926 by Horace T Bates. The company became famous for its racing successes of the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s but it is probably best known for their Reynolds made, proprietary "Cantiflex" tubing, which bulges outward in the center of the tube, and the "Diadrant" double raked forks, with a reverse curve. It ceased trading in 1970s
