In the late 1960s Faliero Masi developed a slotted chainstay design with the purpose of stiffening the stays for track and time trial use. It was a very expensive process and only a few were made. From the early 1980s until the present day Faliero’s son Alberto will make these frames as a special order.

This bike was made in 1981 and is equipped with a Campagnolo Super Record 6 speed groupset, Cinelli bars, stem and saddle.
