1950
Restored frame number 1153. Built with Reynolds 531 butted tubing and hand cut fancy lugs. Harry Daycock liked to use plenty of Tecalemit grease points. The unusually large chainstays were probably designed for tandems but were employed here because of the tube shortages at this time. All frames were bespoke with lug patterns based on a limited number of designs.
It is equipped with Reynolds girder stem with ‘Bailey’ pattern bars. Brooks B 17 saddle on alloy seatpin. Brittania alloy pump. 5 speed Simplex Tour de France gears, Chater Lea chainset and pedals, 26” Conloy ‘Asp’ rims on SF Airlite hubs, Cyclo wingnuts, Bantel mudguards.
